Taking care of my family and loved ones, hoping to be a net positive in the lives of others / my community (Tbd), and some fun along the way (music, food, travel, adventure, etc)

Yup - plus some for me. I like nice stuff :) but definitely as much or more for the people I care about.

Paying bills
Sky is the limit when it comes to paying bills. What would you do if you can comfortably pay your bills on a monthly basis?
I work hard because I don’t want to fall behind in life and having to depend on others. Yet I don’t like to work at all... I’m just forcing myself everyday and it’s a struggle
Same. Thus my question here.

Sounds like you haven't found your calling yet. That's ok, many people don't. Getting married and having a family can fill that void sometimes.

Both. My purpose or calling is to provide for my family, therefore i am motivated to work harder.
The work itself may not be rewarding, but the ability to provide is.

Money. I love what I do but it’s not the center of my life. My life is the center of my life.
Man I cannot tell you how much I am in the same boat. New job, making like 20% more then my last one but I cannot motivate. I am not eager to learn, not driven and generally do not care. I have been seriously considering the exit but I don't even know how that would work for me and my experience and level.
Idk, I actually enjoy the fundamentals of what I do - I work in lev fin so learning about new companies and their business models fuels my curiosity and keeps me engaged. I also get a sense of fulfillment from managing all of my work streams to tight deadlines and seeing my hard work translate into monetary compensation and career growth. My team definitely plays a huge factor in my motivation though, as I trust and respect them and get the same in return. Honestly not sure I could ever fully retire since I'd be bored out of my mind and missing that feeling of overcoming a challenge and getting a hard-earned reward at the end of the day
Paying back student loan debt
The grass isn't always greener and based on the tumultuous job market it may be best to stay put and collect the check.

Read Burnout by Emily Nagoski. Also recommend you check out The Authentic Career by Craddock.
I’m in a similar spot. I’m thankful for my salary, but I’m not driven anymore and that drives me crazy. When I was in law school, I was heavily motivated by status/appearances. It took me about a year of lawyering to realize that wasn’t enough of a motivator anymore. I’m a 4th year now & still haven’t figured out my new motivator.

Money, career, taking care of my family financially. I played sports when younger so I’m naturally competitive and driven. 38 year old F
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that mentality. All depends on what you want out of life. A job can just be a job and nothing more
