Mental health for sure, and getting a good WLB going. What's going on right now is unsustainable

Has anyone heard of the Natalist? I found their Parent Plans book but the only reviews are directly on their site. Alternatively, are there any recommendations for books my husband and I can read to begin preparing to have a child? I can’t just get pregnant and figure it out, I need to try to go in informed (understanding that there’s no way to truly prepare). Expecting Better and Crib Sheets have very polar reviews and don’t quite fit the bill for me. TIA!

Currently in the lateral interview process and have had a few interviews a week. Does anyone else feel drained by this process? The time spent preparing for and attending interviews feels like a second job.

Snapchat salary Sales Strategy & Operations associate and manager?

Could anyone give me some idea on what to expect from 1st round of hangout interview? What kind of questions to expect? Any prep required? I’m nervous 😩

I recently (August 2021) took a job in-house in Houston after leaving a firm. My partner lives in LA but freelances so the decision was to take a good in-house job and then he would move to Houston and work remote. However, he’s started to get great directing and editing gigs in LA and now it seems impractical for him to move to Houston or even split time. I love my company but their HQ is in houston and they won’t allow remote work. Continued in comments…

Multiple calls today with a male client who dominates conversations, cuts me off, asks follow up questions when I’m in the middle of a sentence etc. How do I show I'm the one in charge??

Any comparisons working for IT vs. Pharmaceutical? WLB, vibe, flexibility, benefits, ppl, etc. Is it easy to move to IT?

I currently work at Booz Allen and have been nominated for a promotion. My new title will be Senior Consultant and I can't wait! Does anybody know what the typical increase in salary would be?

Has anyone done an ADP project?

Any tips for building a client base from scratch? I’m a 4th year associate at a firm of 12 attorneys. I practice in business, compliance, and real estate (primarily on partners’ files) and don’t litigate. Most of the partners’ clients are wealthy friends or friends of friends (not my circle). Associates are not referred business, even cold calls, and so far “networking” events like Chamber of Commerce luncheons have been a bust. I equate a book to autonomy and career choice and pressure is on.

Any GSAP alum that returned to the firm for 2 years and then left? If so, where did you go and how did you navigate there? Mostly interested to see how folks were able to leverage their MBA networks to spring back to another opportunity 2-3 years later at manager level. Did anyone use their previous internship to secure an opportunity at that company?

And Barron just blew it. Poor kid

If you were to create the perfect travel app, what features would it include? Where could TripIt improve?

🐠 I need career advice, 2 years experience, getting promoted to C with a big raise in Nov. I am sick of my job right now, should I stick it out for the promo? Or jump ship now?

Can anyone tell me about what it’s like to be an AM/AE for Amazon? I’m wondering if the culture and WLB is as bad as I’ve been reading on other sites.
