Got an extremely good job offer, signed, and now they’re doing a background check on me which is surprisingly taking a very long time (it’s been a week now, since they started the background check). They say there are delays due to staffing shortages from COVID. I have absolutely no criminal record and all my employment has been legit, but I can’t shake my anxiety. Should I be concerned?

I was a naturally “skinny fat” female. At the beginning of COVID I started doing Barry’s online weightlifting focused classes 5 days a week and eating more protein, fewer calories. I seem to be getting bigger and clothes fit way tighter! The fat seems to mostly still be there too. Thought this might happen initially and then it would go down, but it has been a few months now. Anyone with similar experience or any advice? Feeling a bit discouraged :(
