What’s your ‘why’? Right now I’ve got great momentum, but it’s bound to fade if I don’t define a stronger why than ‘for my mental health’ or ‘to feel better.’ Those are perfectly fine why’s, by the way, they just don’t feel deeply rooted enough for me currently.

- Prove I can do something hard (my big fear is that I’m lazy & have no grit) - Put my body in a very good position to be able to handle and recover from pregnancy - A joking/not joking challenge with my partner about how hot we are gonna get - Avoid chronic health issues that run in my family - (Controversial but) Be able to drink indulgently whenever I want

Investing in my future self, preventing problems when I’m older. My future self will thank me!

Today I was officially diagnosed with adult adhd. I can’t begin to explain how relieved I am. It turns out things that I’ve considered personality defects are actually symptoms of this disorder. Interrupting people, saying inappropriate things, swirling on a topic for days: all issues I’ve battled with since childhood and finally have an answer. Mental health is important. Talk to your doctor and do research. You never know what’s going on inside your brain.

I have my MHA and upon graduation I saw myself working for a large hospital/ healthcare org in a more administrative role. Ended up in consulting despite my desires and am regretting it almost 2 yrs later. Not sure where to start looking since I would take a pay cut with many admin roles or I don’t have enough experience yet for higher paying roles. Trying to determine if switching to industry is worth the pay cut or if anyone has any other suggestions of jobs to look towards, please lmk

I see plenty of people go for a walk during the day, yet I hardly see any of my EY teammates appear “away” for 15/20+ minutes. I recognize that not everyone is in consulting, but can’t imagine that *none* of those walking are. Asking as a relative newcomer to the workforce: Is it acceptable to be away from work for more than just a few minutes, regardless of industry? If so, how can I feel comfortable stepping away to prioritize my health and well-being when so few of my teammates do so?

Trying to figure out how to manage health issues and work balance. I just recently found out I might have herpes (waiting for the test results to come back) and I have been very and feeling like my life is over especially because it came from being cheated on and struggling with prioritizing my bandwidth and not knowing how to communicate it with my team. Due to stigmas around something as common as herpes I cannot comfortably share that with my team.
