I started working for my company about 6 weeks ago and I was originally hired to work from a specific location closer to my home. I was told the 1st day of my employment that the location “is not ready yet” and that I would be working out of a temp location further from my home. It has been really inconvenient for me to say the very least and the remote option is unavailable to me until after the probation period which is 6 months. How should I approach having this conversation with my director?
Anybody know any remote reinsurance roles?

Large L shaped desk with laptop and two monitors.
Pro
Autonomous standing desk, three monitors (two on dual monitor arms and the other on stand), desk organizer that holds pens and other things, MX3 mouse, keyboard, and Herman Miller aeron chair
I bought a refurbished one 10 years ago. It’s held up without issue. If you look for anything that’s ergonomic and that has an “hour rating” you’ll probably be fine.
I bought my Aeron because my office and my client had the exact same chair, so I already knew how it would feel.
Pro
Smallish L shaped desk, three monitor stand in the corner. Laptop is closed and off to the side.
L shaped desk and an ultra wide. 37 inches baby!
I LOVE it. It’d great not having a bar in the middle and if I want to focus on one thing, I can center it (and make or huge). It’s also easy to do a 75/25 split with documents (PowerPoint deliverable and meeting notes, for example), rather than always defaulting to 50/50 when you have two separate screens.
