How is Alight solution as a place to work for consultant? I got an offer there and just don't know the inside out. Thanks !
M&A consulting was a burn but fun and intellectually stimulating. Buy side M&A is hard. I miss consulting.

How do you manage to keep track of so many moving parts every day? My memory outside of work is starting to suffer because of it. This is an overwhelming part of the job I wasn’t really expecting.
I think I’m done with options - going straight to sports gambling. More entertaining for me
I’m an associate trying to exit biglaw and there is a current job posting for in-house counsel at one of the firm’s smaller clients. I’m tempted to apply, but scared it’s going to get back to the client’s shareholder contact that I’m looking. Anyone with any insight on this? In a similar vein, has anyone been honest about looking for exiting opportunities with shareholders such that they maybe can help place you somewhere strategic for them and the pipeline of work in the future?
I was offered a partnership at a small firm I used to work at before my current also small firm. We had come to terms and I expected to inform my current firm. To my surprise, my current firm made me a significant offer to stay. Not a partnership, but making more money and better benefits. I’m torn because the other firm is under the impression I’m coming in as a partner. But I can’t turn away from the significant offer I have from my current firm, where I enjoy working. Any advice/thoughts?
How do I jump ship from FP&A? My dream job used to be education or something more creative and I want to make that switch.
My recruitment in TCS has been done for Gurgaon location. I am fine with Noida location as well. How likely is it that TCS can map me to a project in some other state and ask me to relocate ? Due to personal reasons I can't relocate out of Delhi. Is there any way to prevent such scenario?
What’s the best way to get into UX/UI design? I’m a traditional in-house senior graphic designer but at my job it’d be a helpful skill to know. Did you guys just do a boot camp or separate trainings? What worked for you?
How long until you stop dreading leading management meetings? It’s been a few months of consistently doing it, and I’m always nervous leading up to it.
It goes a long way
Recently joined a consulting firm and have a corporate AmEx now. I am planning on paying the $95 fee to get the points from corporate expenses. I also have only a chase sapphire preferred. Is it worth picking up a Gold or Platinum card to pool all the points in one place? I eat out a lot and mostly redeem points for statement credit or the occasiaonl hotel room (use Marriott). Don’t do a ton of personal flying. Thanks in advance.
I’m taking the SPHR in less than 2 months and haven’t started studying for it. How difficult is it? I’ve been in HR for 20 years and have experienced ALOT in that time, although there are always employee relations scenarios that surprise me! How much do I really need to study for this? I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do it, I’m so mentally burnt out at the end of the day from a high stress HR job, the last thing I feel like doing is studying HR!
Divorced or separated moms: how did you ultimately make the decision to leave the relationship knowing it will devastate your children?

Don’t assume that more likes and comments directly lead to sales. I’ve had posts with 20 likes that generated me more leads than a post with 100 likes.
Sales is a funny thing.
Big pipeline doesn’t mean more revenue.
Accurate pipeline does
Should I transition to a tech sales job? Thoughts on risk vs reward? I am 34 yo, married with a baby incoming. I work at Google Cloud in solutions engineering (I help develop quantitative business cases with sales teams for customers). My cash base + bonus is $220k (going to ignore equity). I have an MBA from the University of Chicago, not that it matters much in sales. I have always been in a consulting role but I think I can make more in sales. I have a competitive personality and I am bored.
What enterprise cloud salesperson makes more money in a year? A partner like Accenture or a direct seller at a company like Amazon or Microsoft? Does size of company matter? Are smaller partners making more?
Hi All! Would anyone be willing to give me a referral to an Account Executive role at MSFT, AMZN, or GOOGL. Currently Account Executive at Dell and foucused on Cloud services (yes we have cloud services at dell lol)?

I’m in Sales, but brand new to tech sales. I had a resume person help me - gorgeous cover letter too that showcases my skills.
I keep getting rejected for lack of SaaS experience. What can I say or do to get my foot in the door? I am confident that I can crush it but not even getting past the gatekeeper at this point. It’s a blanket “ we need someone with experience” and I’m trying to not get discouraged.
Has anyone made the move from vendor side to an existing client? A client I closed is hiring and I think I’d be a great fit. However, I know I need to navigate with care. I love the product I sell currently, but my company was acquired recently and comp plans changed. Any advice on doing this in a tactful way?
Has anyone been in the Vendition Sales Apprenticeship program? How many hours a week is it, and would it be possible to juggle another full-time position at the same time (remote)?
Why does no one discuss the real elephant that’s in the room? Most people hired in tech the last few years weren’t qualified. A few years of woke friends hiring woke friends lead us here. The positions that are getting laid off are mostly admin/recruiter related (jobs with transferable skills most people can do). It’s not the end of the world, people will find other jobs. Just no more made up titles making 6 figures at home watching Netflix (good thing).
Interviewed for a company today. The remuneration package $120k-$180k/year [Base + % of Commission = OTE] (50/50 spilt).
They’re asking for an expected salary, if my expected salary is $100k/year, comes out to $8.3k/month.
Based on the $180k and paymix of 50/50, that means $90k is the base salary which is lower than my expected - is this correct? If so, what should I do?
Hi All, any tips on sales presentation for bdr in saas sales? Im reaching my final round of interview. Much appreciated
I’m expecting an offer for an Enterprise Azure Sales role at Microsoft. Any insight into their compensation structure? I’m currently making 160k base with a 320k OTE.

Hi all - I am a Sr. IT Internal Audit Consultant at a medium-size firm and I'm exploring Sales Engineer roles as a potential exit opportunity. I'm wondering if anyone else in this bowl has an IT Audit background and would be able to offer me advice on how to make the career switch.
Thanks for any advice/guidance you can provide!
What is the best way to get into tech sales. I am currently in a sales position but would like to move to the tech industry.
What are some “typical” career paths for Account Executives other than working up towards the largest enterprise AE roles. After being in sales for 6 years, I’m relatively naive to any other than “leadership” and wonder what other options to consider are out there. I’d even be open so some not so typical ones that people have enjoyed/found success in. Thanks in advance!
Are you hiring SDRs? Post your links or company names for all 100’s of sdrs who are looking for roles.
I have a friend who is currently looking for a job she has experience in sales and account management and also an AA degree. Do you know of anywhere that’s hiring?
I am trying to move from my farming role back to an outbound prospecting position. I have a couple screening calls for some pretty awesome companies and I would love some pointers on how to beat the objection that I have only been in my farming role since June. How would you sell the fact you want to go back to SDR, I am sick and tired of non revenue generating activity and miss having a list to attack.
