Where can I find an example of a good / healthy husband wife relationship (practical and realistic) without "prying". I want to get a sense of what is normal and expected. I don't want sunshine/rainbows examples like in the movies. The only relationship I witness regularly is my parents' and I know they love each other but it's no where near a model relationship and different generation and I don't want to base my understanding off that. Don't have many married friends.
I’m looking for a firm to jump to that allows 90% wfh and will allow you to live almost anywhere…planning a move to my fiancés hometown 2 hours outside of Dallas. Also, company culture is important. Not a fan lol f hyper competitive back stabbing, that kind of thing. Any recommendations? Slolom has come up, and sounds like a good choice, but my background is in erp implementations and their client base sounds limited.
Any ladies here have experience being diagnosed with ADHD later in life? I started seeing a therapist again for my depression but she floated this idea and based on my understanding of women being diagnosed later in life and not presenting the usual symptoms (i.e., we are not hyper 10 year old boys), it actually makes a lot of sense. I’m waiting on psychological testing, but has anyone been down this route? I’m kind of relieved and hoping someone can figure out why I’m such an gifted eff up.
Idk if my H1B will ever get approved on time. I hate my current job. I can’t imagine living like this. Just registered for celpip, but feel like it’s too late anyways. After 9/30 I would have 60 days to leave and that’s just not enough. I don’t have anyone I can talk to. People don’t want to hear my shit. My parents are more fragile than I am I don’t want them to worry. I have no one and feel like an absolute failure. Idk what I’m doing with this life.
I have an upcoming interviews with Deloitte and EY to Human Capital and PAS teams. What to expect for case and behavioral parts?
Received my bonus check and thinking of buying a nice designer bag. More of an every day wear type of bag. What’re your favorites?
UK 🐠: I’ve sensed a generally positive vibe on this platform when it comes to the “culture” in some firms - eg Bain and EY. Do any EY 🐠 care to elaborate what they find positively different in their firm’s culture? Specific examples would be amazing. I’m currently considering an offer from them and keen to get first hand, specific feedback from fellow 🐠s. TIA 🙏
How long does it take for the imposter syndrome to wear off when you start a new job? I’ve been there for about a month and still not feeling confident yet :/
How do you push the reset button? Been feeling very stressed for a while and don’t know how to deal with it... (continued)
How are attractive ladies steering clear of players and f*****s? Do you ask men what they are looking for before date 1? And how do you gauge whether what they say matches their actions?
Close friend in same cohort has had a real hard time getting staffed (tough first three cases) while I've been staffed this whole time. How can I be most supportive? Obviously can't staff her - cont.
Thinking of switching jobs on EAD... I have an approved i140 and my i485 was filed more than 180 days ago... I know if I switch jobs directly on EAD..my H1B will no longer be valid.. and I will need to renew my EAD every 2 years.. what other considerations do I need to take into account for me and my wife.. any pointers will be appreciated?
Has anyone here been to Tanzania? Planning to go for my 35th birthday (Feb 2023) and wondering how best to get started with planning. I want to go for around 2 weeks and would love a more structured itinerary and not sure if it’s best to go through a travel agent or do the itinerary myself. Any suggestions would be super appreciated.
Seriously so bored as a staff.... constantly check to make sure there's nothing I can help with, just asked if they wanted me to join a meeting (answer was nah), now I'm just sitting here studying..
Sunday morning I woke up with a really bad sore throat but no other symptoms. This morning the sore throat seem to get better but now have a headache and my left arm really hurts. There’s a part of me that’s afraid of getting tested but I know I have to, I schedule something for Wednesday morning. What can I expect in terms of testing and how quickly can I get results?
Found an old photo where I’m sporting a faux hawk and jnco jeans. Hah what was I thinking.
