Hi Fishers, I have accepted Walmart offer and my BGV has started 3 weeks ago. How do I check my BGV status? I will be joining in mid May. Also, I have been hiding one of the company where I had worked for 45 days and then absconded due to personal issues. Would it create any trouble? They had created my PF account though. Any help would be highly appreciated

How do I learn how to interact with clients? Like advice for someone in sell side sales? Anyone know any good books or other resources? I found this video and I want to learn more tips like this: http://www.cnbc.com/2015/01/14/master-class-entertaining-wall-street-clients-commentary.html

^There have been MANY studies that have shown that for a woman to even be considered competent in this industry, she has to be ten times better than her male counterparts. Personally, I am far more educated than most of the men I have worked with in my years on Wall Street. As far as these programs you mention: (1) actions speak louder than words; and (2) what percentage of women are in senior leadership roles in big banks? Don't tell me it's because men are more qualified.
Those Asian who are also hogging all the STEM courses in school and college need to get off the Wall Street ride..Sounds like it is getting tough for all of us art/history majors to get in on the ride despite all the well earned appreciation for finer things in life
Is this for real rofl
"Women and real minorities can't get jobs in this industry." Are there not like 5 separate programs at every bank designed specifically to attract (often wildly unqualified, relative to their peers) women and minorities? It has never been easier as a woman or minority to break into Wall Street and all it requires a minimal level of competence. The issue is that when these folks hit the desk as interns, they have no chance because they are so far behind. Explain to me why we should gift them jobs if they can't carry their weight (not talking about all of them, talking about the ones who don't perform). The hours or long and the demands great. This isn't charity. Regardless of race or sex, I don't want to be the guy on the deal team with any underperformer, including, but not limited to, one who's there because somebody said we had to hit a quota. Want a job? Be a better candidate.
Truth has to be said: it's not a privilege if your tiger mom raised you to be an overachiever.
What about Latino privilege?
^ go away
What about Martian privilege?
Over represented relative to their proportion of the population. Women and real minorities can't get jobs in the industry

Looks like SJWs have even made their way to Wall Street…
Nothing to see here, folks. OP is clearly trolling, given their most recent comment
Being raised to overachieve is privilege? Cmon. My tiger mom raised me single handedly on 50k and I graduated to make 100. How is that privilege?
Are u serious???
@GS1 I liked your comment, but that's sort of what privilege is at least how I understand it (like I'm privileged because I grew up in a middle class house in the burbs with access to great education vs the kids that grew up in high crime areas)
We are off topic here: leadership, debate 101, women in finance, coastal elite bubble... this has nothing to do with Asians rocking Wall Street Bruce-Lee-style. At the end of the day, this is all about education: you can teach your kid to be an overachiever in Finance and you can teach your kid to be happy as a Hipster barista. This is a free country and what you see as "a privilege" is the fruit of our own freedom! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Life, people!!!
Jpmc, my sentiments exactly
I don't really have an opinion on this because I kind of feel like if all issues on Wall Street this is like third or forth tier
LMAO at Barclays 1. Sources please 👌🏻
Just because I read an 1120f (wow so cool dropping form codes I can tell ur smart) that tells me women represent less than 51p of leadership doesn't mean they have to work harder. That would be akin to me deducing that because 70p of teachers are women, there's a cabal of principals and teachers working in concert to keep men out of the teaching industry. Let's call a aspade a spade- this job is awful / demanding and there aren't a whole lot of women applying for it
