Depends on where you start. 10% of a watermelon is better than 30% of a grape. Regarding quality of life, if you’re staying in big law and getting a pay bump, not likely you’ll be getting a significant QL bump. Unless you can retire a year later lol

After taxes, and worth the extra work hours
Every $10,000 more in salary is about $550-650 after taxes. I would say $50K/year, around an extra $2,500-3,000 per month, take home, is significant. Depends on your city; I am assuming a HCOL city.
