Coach
I see where I get in and then I decide based on the Welcome Weekend + how comfortable the entire applicant experience was (e.g., essay-writing vibe & interviewing).
Coach
1) Ranking
2) Brand
3) Location
Subject Expert
1. Employment report
2 location
3. brand
1 is pretty much the only one that matters for career and then location because of S/O. Brand prettt much comes with 1 tho

Would also add that rankings themselves do not matter (Booth/Kellogg obviously not better than Harvard) and that I personally found that ppl that had too big of a list of schools struggled in the process to pin down what they wanted
I think for me there was a set of factors that narrowed my list for where to apply and then a set of factors for selecting the school:
Before I applied - T15 (looking to change careers so anything below this didn’t seem like it had great ROI) then placement for career paths and locations I was interested in (didn’t care so much about where the school itself was located, more focused on where I could reasonably end up post b school though I know they’re correlated; looked at Plans B and C, not just Plan A) then academic offerings (to a lesser extent)
This left me with 6, ended up applying to 4 because of work obligations
Once I got in - Cost/Scholarships (nearly identical offers) the fit/culture overall (though you’ll find your people at nearly any program 🙂)
