Quarantine may result in me losing my job, but not for the same reasons as many other associates. Moved across the country and started a new job the day after stay-at-home orders hit. Most people were already out of town and low on communication. I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing, how to do my work, etc. I talk on the phone a lot with coworkers, but feel paralyzed with the actual work. Any suggestions?

I’m finding that a weird side effect of losing my job in this climate is ad agencies taking advantage of my weakened position. They get in touch, proactively or in response to my reaching out, and they want to hire me as they are in good shape. When I reveal I was laid off, the offer changes to freelance or maybe nothing. My work, awards, the fact that they know me and approached me in the first place should be enough. I don’t want to lie about my situation. Any ideas how to avoid this?

Some people seem to think that folks will never be comfortable in an office setting again, which if true, means the same people will never be comfortable at a sporting event, museum, concert, etc. I understand that concern at the moment.
