When did you share with your team that you were expecting? Don’t want to tell too soon, but being recently married, the baby questions pop up fairly often.

Thats so intrusive of your team. I would just say I'd rather not discuss my reproductive plan at work.

I never told before first trimester was basically over. With my first I was almost 5 months.

like

After the first trimester for most people. People that I’m close to knew sooner because I was sick. That is odd of them to be prying just because you’re recently married. The way my hormones are right now, I would have been irrationally angry lol.

like

With my first, since I didn’t know how my team would react and didn’t show for a while, I was like 23 weeks along when I told them. But with my subsequent pregnancies I told them around the 8 week mark because I knew they’d be supportive and I wanted them to know why I felt terrible most of the time. It was much easier with people knowing so I didn’t have to pretend I wasn’t tired and nauseous when I very much was. So I wouldn’t shy away from telling them. But if you don’t want to, don’t. And don’t feel guilty for flat out lying about such personal questions if you’re not ready to share.

I just want advice. I work 50 hours a week and my partner is a stay at home dad. He does great. But I hate my job and hate being away from my kid so much. I’ve made 53 this year so far and we are behind on bills and can’t afford daycare. I just read something that said being a mom was more important than the job and that’s true. But what if your job is what your family is depending on?

My partner of 2 years wants me to move in next year. He asked if I did would my cat be coming with me (pic of him below). I said yes I didn't just buy him for lockdown he's with me for life. He then said he's allergic to the cat, cat can only stay part time. Cat is also not allowed in the bedroom and he's not allowed on the new sofa. It's really sounding like he doesn't want the cat there at all. Should I even bother continuing the conversation about moving in?

So I’m leaning towards a happy hour on Friday, maybe get some appetizers for the group and then everyone pays for their drinks. Do you girls think it is a good option for the group?
