Many #machinelearning algorithms, whether supervised or unsupervised, make use of distance measures.
Take k-NN for example, a technique often used for supervised learning. As a default, it often uses euclidean distance.
By itself, a great distance measure.
Knowing when to use which distance measure can help you go from a poor classifier to an accurate model.

Depends how far you're going and the medical access at your vacation site. I think doctors recommend you be less than one hour away in the last 4-6 weeks of pregnancy. Will vary based on how your pregnancy is progressing though, and I think there are plenty of women who still travel up to 36 weeks
Honestly depends where you are traveling. I was traveling to Buffalo for work and was having high blood pressure. I 1000000% didn’t want to have to be in a Buffalo hospital or transported to Syracuse. My clients wife had shared horror stories with me about l&d there so I stopped traveling at 30 weeks and made my husband (also travels) stop as well.
I had a friend who lost her baby at 32 weeks and her husband was in a work trip in VA. He couldn’t get home in time for the emergency csection and wasn’t there when she woke up.
That same friend also had a coworker go in to early labor in Minneapolis on a work trip. Mom and baby couldn’t leave the hospital and they were from Utah. Thankfully her company paid for short term housing for her husband.
I’m obviously kinda jaded with high risk pregnancy, miscarriages and friends experiences. I would weigh location with worst case scenario and decide based on that. Shit like that is far more common than we let people in on our personal lives. Use this as someone who’s willing to tell the truth 😌
My Dr said no international travel past 32 weeks, and no domestic travel (besides local) after 36 weeks. Specifically related to international travel, my insurance has a note stating that travel past 32 weeks may result in lack of payment for mine or my newborns claims for care. Note that my insurance is through Kaiser, others restrictions are probably different.
I traveled Mon-Thur til 36 weeks - one hour flights. That makes a difference - you don’t want long flights too late in pregnancy. Also started checking my roller bag at some point so I didn’t have to lift it overhead or rely on the help of strangers
