What are the most common exit opportunities for those in the operations side of Asset management ? Is it usually to go in house or to consulting ?

I am a recent graduate working as a software engineer. Currently working as a UI developer with tech stack- Vue JS. I would like to know how to improve my career and what all I should be learning to keep up with the latest trend . I am in a doubt whether to start preparing for backend roles as they are more in need and seems quite interesting too seeing all the tech stacks they use and their tools . Please guide me based on your experiences.

I went to my GE science teachers and asked for a comprehensive list of what is taught in biology in our GE classes. My goal is to take the main ideas and bring the concepts down to the level of my students to keep them moving at a similar rate. I was told they do not feel they can share that with me because we do not have our class assignments for next year yet.

I work as a staffing supervisor and in the beginning it was really rough and I’ve decided two months in that I was going to quit. I advise my current job that I was and they decided that they wanted me stay and they agreed to move me to a different department that was less stressful and more up my alley. I'm starting to realize that so much of the angst people have towards Big law is self-forced. A lot of juniors put an insane level of pressure on how they are perceived or always trying to seem busy. My philosophy has always been simple: "see the work, do the work." That's it.

I'm in my 5th-year tax associate and I can count on one hand how many times I've had to cancel social plans or work on weekends.

Truthfully speaking, they are not being given work that comes with high stakes. Relax

I just did my 2nd interview for Synchrony…1st interview was easy and they told me I had a second interview but this one says in 10 (business) days to to weeks….does this sound promising or should I continue to look for another job.

I interviewed at a law firm and had my final round last Friday. The Tuesday afterward, I got a call from the recruiter saying the firm won’t have a decision for another week. I believe they’re interviewing other candidates. Does that make me second or third choice? And does the fact that I’m working with a recruiter hurt my chances of being selected due to the commission? Should I hold out for the offer or is 1+ week a sign that I won’t be selected?

Hey folks! I’ve been studying for gmat for about 4 months now. My baseline was 530 and recent mock shows it’s 610. I have the real gmat exam in a month, what resources are there that could help me improve my chance of getting to 700+? Anyone have tutors/institutions/study plan that really helped? Any advice would be appreciated!

Is it better to do great things at a smaller firm or ok/good things at a bigger/big4 firm for applications? Debating between staying at my current boutique where I have plenty of room to demonstrate leadership skills vs jumping to a big4.

Planning on attending Tuck ($40K) but recently admitted to CBS ($0). Goal is strat. consulting in NYC/NJ (MBB preferred but ok with T2). Feel like CBS is the obvious choice given the slightly higher chance of MBB NYC and NYC alum network, but Tuck is better fit socially (tight-knit community, smaller school, most folks new to Hanover) for an introvert looking to make circle of close friends. Unsure if a) I’m overthinking how to manage the social aspect of CBS

Having a hard time staying motivated through the application process. I know conceptually it’ll be worth it to go to the schools I want to go to but it’s so far away that it doesn’t feel real.

Folks who got interviews at M7 from consulting: what’s the total you paid for MBA admission advising, whether it be on essay or interview prep? Know 4 people that spent $1000s on essay coaching alone (all got invites). Feeling discouraged - undergrad student debt killed money trees.

Is this GRE score competitive for M7? – 164Q/169V/5.5 Writing. Quant is a little low I feel, but looking it up, it’s around average at M7.
