When do you expect this all to be over with and things are back to normal?

If some in government have their way, never. Just like in China masks, disease, and complete control of the people. Listen closely, there are USA elected government officials that are praising China and they were the ones that did this to the world. China's goal is to rule the world by any means necessary. Think and listen carefully, our American culture depends on the people to rule the government and not the other way around. Marxism, Communism, Socialism, and Fascism are burning our cities now, this is not freedom, it's control.

You may very well be right. So what is the solution? Pretend COVID does not exist and risk dying from the virus? Just in case this is a real thing. I have a family. I will follow the rules of science.

I believe that there will be a new normal, regardless of election outcomes. If there is a trusted vaccine, multi partisan support of the medical experts and people are willing to follow health protocols such as mask wearing, end of 2021. If vaccines are mistrusted, medical experts second-guessed, contradicted or ignored, and coronavirus response is piecemeal, I’m afraid it might be the end of 2023 or later.

Credibility, that's been gone for years.

There is no going back to normal. Life has changed forever (good lord that sounds ominous, but it was just an observation) 😶

I think you are right Louisiana. Since we are teachers, we have to ask the key question: “What have we learned from all this?” Not all of the takeaways have to be negative.

Around 2022-2023. Just based on the previous pandemic that ravaged the US for about two years, that’s my guess. I wish for it to be sooner but I’m also trying to be realistic. 😕

I believe we will never see the end of COVID. I understand from reading research articles that is has mutated approximately 30 times. It is from the same family of virus as the common cold. Medicine, big Pharma and governments around the world have not found a cure for it, I don’t expect them to find a lasting vaccine much less a cure. The precautions we take social distancing, wearing a mask, hand washing and disinfecting are preventing the public at large from all contracting the COVID virus at once and overwhelming the healthcare system. I believe it to be here to stay and come around seasonally like the flu.

Well if we stop having wars which had done a lot to control over population of the earth Mother Nature might take it in her hands and create more. This is of course might have been a man made virus that went terribly wrong. We don’t know.

Next school year 🥺

like

At our school we are guessing next school year will be much closer to "normal" But all of 2020-2021 school year will be like this. However, we are also guessing that most of the FULL remote students will return to blended learning at semester (we won't let them before then)

likeuplifting

This is the new normal. I don't expect it to be over.

like

I think mid 2021 depending on if the populace gets vaccinated in large enough numbers.

like

I think we would need to look back in history from the previous 100 yrs to see how long it took for some normalcy.

like

History will help but we have medical interventions that we could never have imagined before. Nature through the times has had a way to ensure we survived in spite of our ineptitude.
