I am hoping it never returns to the same levels. I am mostly concerned about environmental impacts of flying and hopefully this has shown that people can work effectively while remote.

This is incredibly unlikely

I hope no later than end of April

After Memorial Day is my best guess.

like

Early Sept / Labor Day

like

Probably in June

We were told expect June

July

I think August. I bet firms will have to concede to making arrangements for folks the next Q or so. Then slowly ramp up into August/Sept

Going to be a few more months. Companies will need to empathize/assess risk of if they ask people to travel to soon and those people continue to get sick. Big PR/legal risk.

I think normal work in office by first week of may, travel by first week of June.

Working as a Principal at Slalom Consulting, 2 YOE, strictly Salesforce. My prior 10+ YOE is tech consulting/digital mktg outside of Salesforce. I'm happy with comp, projects, coworkers, etc. Salesforce is recruiting me for a solution architect role in CSG. After talking to 2 recruiters, job sounds identical to my current role. Outside of equity, is there a compelling reason to consider Salesforce? I think the equity would be nice but travel also seems more likely postCovid. Thanks!

On my notice period and bench for the next couple of weeks. With wfh I'm basically doing whatever I want (running, reading, swimming, day trips nearby) during work hours. Pretty obvious but has anyone else thought about the impact on effective comp that comes with the lack of travel, and the consequences for talent management? Banks are jacking base salaries to the moon, but our industry is barely budging. Consider the loss of food expensing that had netted us hundreds of dollars per week. The lack of payment in lieu of travel on weekends. The rewards points/miles we’re not accruing. The tax-free nature of all of it. Is it any surprise we're hurting for talent?

Interviewing at McKinsey from a big 4 consulting firm - currently an engagement manager interviewing for an engagement manager role on the partner track - comp at big 4 is currently $165k base, what’s a reasonable amount to ask for at mck? 30 male here. Pretty sure my early-40s female boss has a work crush on me. We’re both married & it seems totally innocent, nothing remotely inappropriate yet. While we do vibe & she is attractive, I have no interest in it escalating into inappropriate territory. Nor do I think she does, for the record. Any way I can play this to my favor while keeping it innocent? New territory for me, first female boss that I’ve gotten work-wife vibes from. We work well together & I dont want to jeopardize that
