Who will be the first big company to lay off?
best independent agency in LA?
Hey Microsoft I’m currently in a level 35 role after coming from Amazon. I have a Bachelors in Comms. I wasn’t aware of the level system for Microsoft since the hiring managers never told me what I would be only that they wanted me to start in this role as jump off point to corporate. Basically I wanted to know coming from my role a non technical role would a great fit to be a CSAM or CSM with Microsoft If don’t have a ton of technical experience? Thanks!
Please tell me in hand salary
I have currently 5.5 LPA having 2 years of experience. How much should be my expected salary?

I spent about 5 years abroad and it was too long. Do what’s right for you. Good luck 💜
Sounds like it might be time. If it’s possible for you to do so without taking a major hit financially/logistically I’d start looking into it. As my own parents and grandparents get older I realize how limited my time with them is getting and try to prioritize it more before it’s too late
I feel the same, btw I am Indian and finishing my PhD by next year. I am sure I need to move back at some point in future. So, I am looking for a career where transition would be bit easy in future. Living way below my means and saving every $ possible.
I lived abroad for 2 years, moved home for 6 months during COVID, and then another city in my country for a year, before moving back abroad. I’m abroad for the foreseeable future now because I’m living in my fiancé’s home country.
Wedding planning has really brought up these feelings since we’re getting married where I’m living and a lot of my friends and family won’t be able to attend. But in our situation, someone will always be making that sacrifice (unless we are in a third country and we both are), and it makes sense for it to be me right now because it maximizes our joint earning power. I’m close to permanent residency, and I think I’ll feel better having more permanent visa options for my parents so they can spend more time with us in retirement.
I also absolve myself of guilt since I know that if my fiancé wasn’t in the picture, I still wouldn’t be living in my hometown. (My hometown is not a great place to be a single person in your 30s.) Yes, it would be a much shorter flight and a much easier time zone, but I still would be missing that time.
Which country are you from?
Well, Idk about citizenship and visa rules for Europeans but I feel transition to some close by country would be possible if you plan good. I won't just go unplanned, will try to find similar opportunities in your home country and then do the transition. Plus, don't be trapped by exact dollar amount. Rather compare purchasing power. Even better if you can find some US based company that can pay you equal pay by working remotely or you could spend 25-30% time as and when required in US.
Why not just visit more often?
Also analyze what you would give up to move home. If your options are earning $200k/yr in New York City vs €80k in Riga, is that worth it to you?
Maybe take a sabbatical and spend a few months at home to think.
Thank you!
That is a very valid point, before making any massive decision. A sabbatical will show whether I am just nostalgic or actually life is better there.
+ world is getting smaller and more remote so could make it work between two.
Tbf, I regularly visit home every month, just this summer has been a mayhem with loads of cancellations, which lead to this thought process - when is right.
