I absolutely hate my job and would like to resign ASAP but my bond period is until Feb 2023 but they are already having a qualifying exam which I won't clear and will get fired anyways in Jan 2023...but they are refusing to let me go without paying bond money.. Job searching given all these recent layoffs has been tricky as two companies I was interviewing with announced layoffs. What questions should I be asking during the interview process to determine a company’s financials and viability? Anything I should ask for in a negotiation process in order to help protect myself in case that company also experiences layoffs down the road?

For recruiters, hiring managers, HR, or anyone with past experience — if I’ve been laid off (startup financial problems) and I’ve set my LinkedIn to “open to work,” should I also post something that says I’m looking? I saw someone post their resume + open to work and asked people to share with their network, and while I’m not willing to be quite that vulnerable, it made me wonder if there’s value in a post like that.

Should you tell the recruiter who placed you in the previous role, that you were laid off from the company they placed you in 1.5 years go.
