When exiting at Senior level, is it important to show one year of experience at the Senior level? Or is obtaining the Senior title and a couple months of work as a Senior enough to demonstrate competency, etc.

You already demonstrated your competency by getting promoted - your employer thought highly enough of you to promote you. If you’re going to industry you will probably get higher titles/better opps by staying longer but if you’re switching to another firm or LOS it’s best to switch as an S1 IMO because then you have time to prove yourself for the manager promotion without delay. A lot of variables here

like

Yep - I did the same from another firm, I left 4 months after my senior promotion and so glad I did because I didnt feel rushed trying to learn a new job and LOS and also go up for manager all at once. I don’t think you’d have any advantage waiting till S2

You'll have better exit opportunities as an S2, but nothing wrong leaving as an S1

Someone with 2.5 years vs. 3 years isn't going to make a huge difference. Instead of worrying about that, just keep applying. You'll keep gaining experience as you continue the job hunt.

I got my current job after only being senior for a few months.

Specialist vs Generalist?

I’m starting my career in TAS, and have an opportunity to join the healthcare team at my firm. I am thinking of taking it, and wanted to crowdsource some more pro/cons from seasoned hc professionals.

A big pro for me, is there is a big in-office representation for the group, and with starting my career and a hybrid WFH model, I think it would be advantageous to my learning. I do have an interest in the industry, but have some apprehension in specializing too soon.
