Hi guys
I am working in Tata Consultancy kolkata from past 3 years, planning to get transfer to TCS Bangalore(hometown). Will there be any issues if I provide fake medical certificate for my parents? Also now they are forcing me to come back to kolkata office, is there any possibly they may let me work from bangalore office even if my project ODC is not there in bangalore?

I’m pretty sure New York always makes you put the full amount in and then on IT-203 you allocate how much was earned in New York vs somewhere else
This is correct, NY requires full amount
What’s your residence state? I know that NY requires companies to list full wages earned, even if you don’t live there. You only have to pay taxes on the amount that you earned in NY though. (Hopefully your company provides this breakdown)
the amount of state wages (box 16) of both state W2s makes it seem like i’m making twice as much in turbotax unfortunately since it’s not allocated based on hours / days worked in the state
Check your box 14 - they might say the wage earned in each state. Else, you can usually use your last paystub of 2018 to show the amount of income earned in each state, and allocate appropriately
Your company should have tracked your hours per state.
In TurboTax, when you're filling out W2 info under federal, put exactly what is on the W2 even if it's your whole year's total income. Then when you get to the state portion, as you're doing NY, you should get an opportunity to allocate. I find it easiest to allocate by number of days. Then it calculates the state tax you should owe based on your allocation.
