I’m supposed to roll off next week because my work stream is ending so I pinged an md and said I’m free for a new project in a week. Today, I’m reading the new sow and I find out that the project is keeping me on a few more weeks. Pretty messed up that I wasn’t told about this in person. Do I have to stay?
TFW when your SM announces to the team that your manager is leaving the project while the manager is out on PTO. -_-
Interviewed for a senior strategist role and as we were griping about how clients can be, I said “oh yeah well the dream job is to never work with clients again right?!” And the recruiter just got back to me that “the role requires client interaction so that’s a dealbreaker”. I feel so dumb for getting comfortable during an interview to joke like that.
Hi folks, My brother joined TCS 3 month back.. from day 1 he is in project. Deployed in client project. But they have given him admin role instead of development. they haven't provided any KT also they are not helping in anything like getting license etc. And forcing them to take task. He had discussion with product owner , architect. But no solution . Still they are forcing. Also role is independent and nobody in team knows that work. Please suggest what to do in this case.
First time needing to edgarize a document (my practice is ECVC and have a client doing a Reg CF raise). Am I right in assuming that it’s just converting a Word doc or PDF doc into an SEC-specific format? Any recs on service providers? Would love a cloud-based self-serve tool and understanding of how pricing is supposed to work.
Been in Consulting for over 25 years. Looking for a change. Love stock and options trading. Have been doing system functional and integration testing and like it. Led teams of people (even clients and client contractors). I like to coach, mentor, and motivate. Getting tired of working 60+ hours a week , needing to do +1s and 0 to 2% increases for “great work” but still bring a positive attitude to the team. Just taking PTO and reevaluating next steps. Company/BU recommendations?

Currently, we have a Product Design Manager - Client Growth role open. Client Growth is the flywheel of Acquisition, Onboarding, and Retention. The overall goal is the customers receiving value throughout the journey while delivering our brand promise and improving conversion rates from a visit to start (i.e. hire and, later, rehire) Ready to directly impact our mission of creating economic opportunities so people have better lives? Received an offer from McKinsey & Company and am super stoked to join, but I’m getting quite criticized in my personal life for the decision mostly because of the public image of the firm. I get where they’re coming from, but figured most of the consulting industry was like this, not just McKinsey, and strategy work is what really interests me. Any tips on how to deal with it?
Anyone out there have/had a baby and worked a job? Full time? Part time/project based etc ? What did you do and how did you make it work?

What's working and what's not in advertising? What would you love to see change in the industry? Please take this (anonymous) survey and let your voice be heard, so we can start a meaningful dialogue. Thanks for being part of the change! Share with others that work in advertising, PR, or marketing (agency or client side) and encourage them to take it, too. The more diverse responses, the better!
I need to learn how to do Time Series forecasting in R this weekend for a project. Does anyone have a favorite YouTube video or resource that got them up to speed quickly? I haven't done this type of analysis before.

I feel like using star method in interviews in overrated. I stopped using STAR and finally started to get offers. It’s better to be genuine and let the conversation flow than to stick to a structure. Thoughts? Maybe I just got lucky.
I’m realizing I have a lot of fear—mostly related to health stuff and death. Feel like people are getting sick left right and center (not talking about covid). I’ve never had anyone close to me become very sick or die—don’t know what I would do if this happened. I’m also overly concerned about my health and seem to be at the doctor every month to get something checked. Can anyone relate or provide suggestions on how to overcome something like this?
Tips on getting the most out of your HSA card? Do you expense medical bills using your HSA card directly or do you pay with your credit card first and then reimburse yourself?
I’m sure this question has been asked before: what are some must read books for a new consultant that didn’t go to business school? Any book recommendations and context would be greatly appreciated 😁
Awhile back someone posted an equation for finding your hourly rate but I can’t find it. Something like yearly salary divided by 600. Am I nuts? Anyone know what I’m talking about?
Possibly a dumb question: do connecting flights get you 2 PQFs for United? I always try to fly direct but might consider taking some connections just to make the PQFs. Thanks!

Really need advice/opinions. My close friends are having their wedding the day of my son’s 1st birthday (poor planning & lack of consideration on their part). I could move the bday to the following wk but I’m 1) hurt they didn’t ask if we could make it if we’re in the wedding party 2) already canceled our gender reveal, babymoon & baby shower last yr due to covid & this is the ONE thing i was looking forward to now that we’re vaccinated. Moms what would you do? How would you feel about this?
