Well I noticed I would lash out at my husband so instead I tried to give him a warning “ I am feeling this way so watch out” type of thing until I realized it is actually very helpful to me to speak out loud about what is going on and how i am feeling. I do this with my husband but honestly even if I acknowledge this to nobody but to me alone out loud it would help. It makes you name the issues, and once they are in open and properly identified your mind turns back to the more logical ways to solve them and emotions aren’t as heightened
Practice mindfulness techniques in your classroom.
The students love having a calming room. You can use breathing techniques, fidget toys, salt lamps or any other type of lighting that is soothing and the CALM APP is also wonderful for students. Relaxing music to set the tone. Doesn’t hurt to try and see how things go! I have found that it has truly changed behaviors positively especially in a time where anxiety is through the roof! I hope it helps you as well.

Therapy therapy therapy. Often you can’t intellectualize your way out of this stuff, and for me - typical mindfulness actually makes me more neurotic. The fact that you’re aware of it and want to make a change is the most important thing, but I’d recommend a professional to help you get through it and understand why it’s happening.
