Tell Deloitte to refund you 400$.
How did you survive this long? This should have been explained at on-boarding
Why would you dish out that much money for a corporate phone? Even if you didn’t pay attention at on-boarding ? Do you lack common sense ?
TFW you realize D owns your phone..and your soul..
Why did you pay out of pocket?
And that’s why you don’t pay out of pocket for corporate phones
Did you miss onboarding? The most out of pocket is when you buy a iPhone X and it’s $100 out of pocket. The $250 is for accessories like air pods.
BCG has similar model...but the employee owns the phone
What does Deloitte want with old iPhones?
Give the used phones to employees who lost/broke their phones before they become upgrade eligible. The accessories you can keep.
OP says Deloitte iPhone but it sounds like they purchased a personal phone that would also be their work phone. As far as I know, it was hard to find a phone that cost $650, unless maybe it was like the new iPhone XS Max but that wouldn’t have been out at the time OP joined. If you want your personal phone to be your work phone, now it truly is Deloitte’s property and must be turned in. It makes too much sense to just get a free iPhone that’s a year old and spend the $250 on AirPods/ cases/ phone mounts.
I just bought my XS outright from Apple. Using the $250 for noise cancelling headphones. Did the math and this was the only way I could get the phone I wanted and not get screwed.
Yes. If you connect a device - they own it
Yep
Damn...I think I didn’t read the fine prints too
Yep, they paid for the phone it’s theirs. You chose to give up $400 but it’s theirs
Why did you have to pay that much for a phone they own?
How does the upgrade program work?...I got an iPhone...I paid $200 extra for the 128gigs...and I am due for an upgrade in Nov...do I have to give my phone to get an new upgrade or can I keep my old phone and still get a new one..
I paid $400 out of my pocket to get the nicer model as my Deloitte phone. When they pay for my cell phone service, I really don’t mind the $400 when divided over 2 years. It’s your phone, the one thing you use so often
They give you $250 and any phone you buy with that money is theirs. Should have been made abundantly clear at orientation but mine was a complete shit show so not really surprised. That’s why you buy the cheapest phone you can live with (some are even free) and use the rest on phone accessories which you DO get to keep forever
