These are the kind of people you want to stay away from. Unhappy with their own life and cant appreciate/celebrate people's successes. If the analyst in the room has the best suit and the best bag one should appreciate the fact that he knows the importance of carrying himself well at an early age. This is a relationship business and some people need to be coached on how to carry themselves well. If someone is doing that well early in his tenure that is a tick mark he will need eventually and should be complemented for. He is investing in the right things upfront instead of wasting his money on something useless.
All of the logical arguments laid out will not change the insecure, outdated, madmen level beliefs of the OP. It's ok, jerks like him won't be around too much longer. And I am not a millennial, just someone who recognizes generational differences happen ALL THE TIME. You can see the differences as a natural progression and live your life or you can be a sad angry person who uses generational arguments to justify your own misery. I choose to enjoy life.
Try to be less judgmental. You'll be happier.
Maybe it was a congratulations on getting the job or graduation gift from parents. Don't be jelly
@OP where does replying to your own thread fit in the paradigm of "trying too hard"?
This is what happens when you work for ACN. You hate yourself so much that you hate others.
Yeah, exactly. Not trying to be obnoxious, but I got my first Tumi suitcase in 7th grade because we traveled a lot and my dad goes goo goo ga ga over nice luggage and bought five of the same suitcase at the Tumi outlet (he's also a little OCD). It lasted me close to 19 years of lots of use and I eventually traded in three of those suitcases to get the newest $700 Alpha one totally for free.
Still better than a damn backpack
Own Tumi bags. Can confirm not trying too hard.
My parents got me one as a birthday/congrats on the new job gift when I first started
OP has a Targus bag. What an idiot!!!!
LOL on OP's reply to his post. He agreed with him/herself???
Quality over quantity... More of an investment if you ask me. When I first started I WISH I knew about tumi bags! Good job newbie, no rookie there!
It's not entitlement if he/she bought it with their money. Just b/c you're unhappy with your own life doesn't mean you have to be a bitter cunt mate
Oh yeah? I have a Tumi Colostomy bag.
Bought a Tumi as an analyst and never looked back.
OP, You're mad at your dad, not me - I FORGIVE YOU!!
I have a $1800 TUMI carry on + purse set and I'm glad I made the investment. It definitely took me thirty minutes of debating with myself in the store to make the purchase. A great investment.
Sorry I care about the quality of the things I buy OP 💁
What a sad little man
You literally turned your daughter into exactly what you're comparing about...way to go OP 👏🏻👏🏻 do everyone a favor and please get off FB for your contradictions
