Do you have your high kids help out lower kids in the classroom? If my high kid finishes early, could I pair him with another student? I try to arrange seating so that high, middle, low are mixed.

Hey guys… I’m a case worker in child safety and I’m someone who loves being outdoors/dies at a desk all day. I’m hoping to organise that at least once a week I can go to a cafe and catch up on all my case notes that need to go into the system.
So far the only reason I’ve been told no is that “if you do then everyone will want to and then no one will be in the office” … how can I convince them that I work better out of the office and get this freedom & mental break for myself?

Currently have a 5th grade girl who is struggling with classroom behaviors and choices. When questioned, she says she wants to be a boy, but her parents won’t allow it. Obviously, she is struggling with more than making good choices at school. Her parents are very kind and appreciative of all we do for their child, but they are also clearly struggling with this. Anyone ever been in a similar situation or have some advice on how we can best support the student?

I have a junior who is pregnant. While she has not asked me to go easy on the workload, I feel guilty sending her work especially when she constantly tells me how sick she is. But the workload on me has increased substantially as I try to make things easier for her. Am I wrong to feel annoyed at this? Any suggestions on how to handle?
