When I was deployed, I always kept a picture of my girlfriend in my room. It gave me a reason to survive. Did anyone else bring a special memento during their deployment?

Of course, I keep a few Polaroids of my family on me at all times

The photo of my daughters was always with me, today I am retired and I don't need the photo.

It is the best tactic to take care of yourself, having to go home is a good way to be always alert on the streets.

I feel that being a police officer is not easy, so we need motivation besides the passion for the job, easily that motivation can be to take care of the people you love. I always carried my mom's picture.

A small dollar store toy from my daughter. That plastic blue poodle was a great friend and a source of many jokes.

My grandpa did... he served in WWII, and he kept a dollar bill on him at all times so he would always have a piece of home with him. He survived two years overseas and came home to a four-year-old girl who probably didn't recognize him, and then a year later my Mom was born.

I kept a bottlecap from my first date with my now-wife. Corny? Yeah, I know. I needed something to focus on though. And it helped, as weird as that might sound. I still have it <3

My grandfather served in WWII. I have one of his medals, I keep it with me at all times. Whether I'm deployed or not. It brings me a lot of strength to keep fighting and it almost feels like he's looking out for me.

At my experience level , CTC should be around 30 LPA or more . I am getting offers however HR speaks only about 30% hike over CTC . How can I correct my CTC as per market.

I just found out The FDA banned Juuls in June. Not a Juul smoker, had a puff from my friends once 4 years ago., but how are Cigarettes still OK to be sold, but not Juuls? Even if you say they can’t be sold to kids. I believe they’re already not as they fall under the same sale regulation as Cigarettes, but if not, then pass a law. It just looks to me like it’s just Cigarette companies killing off their competition

Did anyone else adopt the new Florida Wonders curriculum? We just adopted it this school year, and I teach 4th grade. My team and I have not found a good flow, schedule, or whatever you want to call it. We feel like it teaches too many skills in one lesson, and we are not able to truly teach anything “deep” enough for students to master. Does anyone have any insight? What do you do? Do you like the curriculum? Why or why not? Would you be willing to share what you do weekly/daily? Thanks!
