Hey everyone! I just got back an email from EY for an Interview to be a Technology Risk Intern for Summer 2023! However, this is my first ever interview so I’m really nervous how it will turn out. Is there any questions I should prepare for ,specifically, that any of you been asked a-lot in interviews? How do their interviews work usually ? Any advice and comments are welcome! EY

I once got rolled off a project because my PowerPoint wasn't good enough.

I could never touch PowerPoint again in my life and be indifferent. Excel on the other hand 🥰
Chief
Excel is ambrosia mercifully bestowed upon us by the grand gods of professional services
I’m probably the only weirdo who loved and do like working ( or should I say enjoy) on ppt. 😂
Yes. I create a lot of ecosystem mapping which is why I enjoy it as well
so glad I barely touch ppt lol
I myself am trying to get on some nlp/data science projects lol, but feel free to dm for referral
Can you explain this to me in a few slides? Please have it to me by Sunday morning. Thnx.
I guess certain companies really look at the structure and color scheme of the PowerPoint, they do showcase it alot, we just don’t seem to know it. Companies really like to keep their colors in the PowerPoint too
Agreed that I have never seen a nice PwC slide 🤣🤣.

If PowerPoint were never invented, there would 1/3 fewer consultants in the world.
Always amazed how much most firms rely on it.
Obviously based on some PowerPoint deck 🤣
I know this is high heresy, but as a design consultant who never has to use excel integrations, I think keynote is easier to make higher quality outputs with🤷♂️
Sure, I also hate PPT- it takes a LOT of effort to put together good slides and wordsmith, but that doesn’t mean one shouldn’t excel at it. It is an access to the way senior executives communicate with each other and can change your outlook in a company…otherwise you may just become a lonely one note taker because execs may not see you as one that is able to drive change and lead teams. Word?
Same. I went to an elite boutique firm and then put me through Udemy courses. You click you die. And then the amount of features. I can still look at slides and feel irked if something is off center and notice 9.5 vs 10 font
What courses?
What makes someone really good at PowerPoint?
The ability to instantly tell a story with a completed slide that drives change or action.
