The people, mission and equity are what keeps me at a startup.

I think when you don’t want the job/life of the people above you + not learning anymore is when it’s not worth the stress

After I hit my first cliff. On to the next!

Stress, not matter what others say, is manageable by us if we have the right tools so many people leave companies because they think it's just the way it is. Stress won't be completely eliminated but with practiced habits it can be managed so it doesn't consume you and when ypu do decide to leave you will be doing so for the right reasons and be successful at your next spot! For some tips on managing stress in your everyday check out my Instagram @Krystapogge. I have been working with staff and seniors in my firm on this exactly and seen great results from consistently practiced habits. Send me a message if you want some initial starters!

How can I be happier at work? I found myself keep comparing me to other colleges and feel I’m not as recognized or taking credits that I suppose to take, and this makes me unhappy and exhausted. I also tried to not care about the recognition but then how do I make sure I get to move my path up and forward in the current role?

I am in the final round of interviews at Meta and Amazon. I am going for a UX Researcher Role at Meta and a Sr. UX Researcher at Amazon.
I am looking for feedback on the following:
- possible salary range for these positions
- which one has the better culture? (ex: not a bunch of people stabbing each other in the back)
- which one has more flexibility?

For context, I have 9 YOE, I am looking to work hard and learn but also need flexibility for my kids.

Thank you!

Just a question for those here. What does anyone see as a job outlook for a pharmacy technician that has 15 years of experience and is studying for the CPhT? I would like to return to 100% remote work and, understandably, most job postings that are about my caliber are requiring the cert. I am thinking of possibly pivoting into an IT job that would be fully remote later on down the road, but I’m interested in seeing what is possible now (and an average pay) for someone with my experience.

Additional Posts in Startups and Entrepreneurship

I have a website/app idea. After writing most of the details, features, and functionality out it now seems overwhelming. For those with a similar idea, did you just make a Minimum Viable Product for the 1.0 version, or try to fit in as many features as possible on launch? I worry competitors will catch on, but then do I patent certain features to prevent that? How long could that take?

Starting a FT with a startup and it has a minimum 8 weeks notice to leave the team. Although i have no intention to leave rn, and I’d like to grow with it for some more time, this is extremely long from the average 2 weeks.

Is this common in start-ups? It’s an awkward point to bring up when about to sign on… is this worth negotiating?
