Identify upfront that you need to be rolled off
Have concise, multiple examples ready
Make clear that it's been really disheartening because of how excited you were initially
Outline (if necessary) why you feel concerned about coming forward due to career impacts
Just gtfo. There is no reason to make a noise. As no one will hear it. They will act like they are listening but it will soon show up in your snapshots. Whats the point?

The easiest way to roll off is to have another project ready and use that as the reason.
Most of the time, PPMDs know what's going on. They don't really need you to tell them.
If your biggest reason is "this project sucks," then you're probably not going to roll you off unless there is someone to take your place and you have some other project to be staffed on.

Ask to be transferred workstreams.
Work on a different project under the same partner.
Talk to your TGL (your coach can’t do much unless they’re a partner or managing director)

Thanks for the feedback everyone, all the points shared has been very helpful as I work on my messaging
Also gotta factor in reality of the moment with staffing and that unless it’s a natural inflection point or pre-discussed roll off timing, your current project can and likely will fight to keep you. Your ability to throw deuces and bounce immediately is limited at this point so be prepared to figure out ways to get improved working conditions or a med term roll off commitment vs an agreement to let you go today
