Was offered a Strategy Consultant role with Accenture (progression point C) for $150k. Asked what the sign-on bonus would be and was told $20k. Is this fair comp? Should I negotiate? I tried to negotiate salary but was told it is fixed. I haven't tried to negotiate sign-on yet, but also feel like it's fair and don't want to lose the offer. What would you do?

Would love to hear from moms whose babies went to daycare / school right after maternity leave (no nanny etc). Due in March and on the list for a stellar Montessori daycare / preschool near us to start in August (school year) when baby is 4-5 months old. Feeling guilty and struggling to decide if keeping baby home a year with a nanny is better, starting school in 2023? However, I’m worried about cost - we really would not be able to afford a nanny in our city on our salaries. Advice welcome!

Interviewing for a role in which I meet/exceed all the quals. After multiple interviews, recruiter asked if I’d be open to coming onboard one level lower, based on interview feedback. (Ugh!) Says it will “better set me up for success.” Should I push back? Going one level down would make me by far the most experienced person at that level, judging from a scan of LinkedIn.
PwC Toronto assurance: being offered a job as a transfer from the US. I’ll be transferring as a senior associate 1 (aka this is my promo year). I’ll be either tier 1 or 2 since I’m an easy promote here in New York. I was offered 61k CAD assuming I’m tier 3. They said they might adjust it if my rating comes in higher. What should I expect if I were either tier 1 or 2? Trying to minimize the salary reduction…
