It’s possible to get a positive at 9dpo, but it’s extremely faint. It should be clearly positive by 14 dpo. But any line on an hcg test is a positive, even if it’s faint. Are you sure you know what day you ovulated? If you are off a day and really at 8dpo you most likely wouldn’t see a positive yet.

Yes! Thank you for clarifying, and definitely avoid blue dyes for your own sanity. You can still get cheapies that are pink dyes and more reliable

I got a positive test the day of my missed period. I think I was about 2-3 weeks pregnant so very early. We had been trying for awhile so I was eager!

I had a negative three days before my missed period and a positive two days later. I thought the first one was legit and only took the second because we were heading to a wedding and I wanted to make sure it was ok to drink. 😂 Good thing I took the second. It really just depends on your hormone levels. Just be patient and take one closer to your missed period. 😊

Make sure you go first thing in the morning too

With my daughter, I got my first really faint positive at 9dpo and it just got darker every day. I went in for a blood test with my doctor at 12 dpo (a day before my missed period)

There are better and worse tests, the general advice is to never trust a negative but almost always trust a positive. If you’re using a lot of tests, the cheap kind will work and a positive will be almost be more accurate with a positive result because it has less sensitivity for low level hormone chemicals. Agree with the others that patience is key here.

I would just wait until you miss your period. I mean, I am the worst at waiting, but I know that's when I should wait until 🤣 good luck to both of us!

10dpo is early, and there is a good chance of finding out at 12dpo or earlier with a Clear Blue first response test, or at least a pink dye test. Make sure you use first morning urine with a 6+ hour hold for best results. Good luck!!

Also pointing out exact time of ovulation is hard to pinpoint, so you may be a day or 2 off and need another day to get your positive test.

14 days after sex will result in a positive pregnancy test if you’re pregnant. Additionally, unless you’re using LH strips and temping, your DPO could be wildly inaccurate. Since you didn’t comment on using those, I’m going off the assumption (whether incorrect or not) that you might be using an app or something? If that’s the case, those are usually not very accurate. If you are temping and using strips, then that’s the most reliable method in determining DPO. 9DPO is still extremely early, and usually when people test at 9DPO and get a positive, it’s usually they’re either really lucky or they got their DPO wrong. Typically they say wait until you’re 12DPO to test if you know your actual O Day. The Trying For A Baby sub on Reddit is a GREAT resource, and you can even go to TFABLinePorn to see others DPOs and positive/inconclusive/negative pregnancy tests. Edit: adding that I just found out I was pregnant and religiously followed those subs I mentioned above for the information I gave.

Parents- Do your toddlers bathe everyday? No judgments here, I grew up outside the America in a tropical region, we had our bathe morning and night as kids. My wife and mother in law think it’s not good for the kids skin to bathe everyday. I need some more data points on folks that grew in the US preferably

I feel like a bad mom. It seems like only my baby’s nanny is able to get him to stop crying. I went back to work because I thought it would make me more “fulfilled” and thus a better mom, but am I a good mom if I can’t get my own baby to stop crying? 😭😞

Is there anyone that is teaching from home and your students have returned to school? How did you get permission to do that and how does that work with kids in the classroom? I am guessing there has to be an adult in the room while the students are in there but is there another teacher during their planning or do you have to get a sub? Our reentry has been delayed and I am working with HR to try and stay home while students aren’t there but it looks like I’m going to have to take some Parental Leave once students do return because there is not a plan otherwise.

I am tired of doing others people's jobs. I am tired of being underpaid for doing said people's jobs. I am furious at the fact a certain incompetent employee makes more than I do. I am tired of people taking advantage of me. I am furious an ex-employee that I literally had to baby sit and deal with the most was brought back on without even involving me in the conversation. Tell me your favorite memory of teaching /coaching you have, an experience, a kid, a group of kids, or anything else. Looking for positive vibes ate the end of the year.

Called into the principal's office to discuss a parent's concern and was blindsided with accusations against me. I was "guilty", despite the fact I had previously documented and proven that this student twisted truths. I was not allowed to defend myself. Then I was told I was not a good fit for the school. I have been there for 13 yrs, 3 with this principal. Suddenly, I am accused of lacking empathy and told the students needed to be "protected" from me. I don't know what just happened.

Do people really wear their designer bags to crazy bars? I’ve been seeing coworkers on insta wearing their Gucci and YSL bags to places like Bowery electric and dream baby. Friends of mine say they might be replicas bc apparently that’s really popular now but idk. Are they just so rich they can easily buy a new one / don’t care if they get ruined? I would be terrified to wear my designer bags out to known sweaty dancey bars, is this an unpopular opinion?!
