When my daughter was three or four she found a dead bug and said "we can take it home and science it!" and it still makes me laugh 14 years later

Love that! Did she end up in STEM?

Is she still interested in doing science? What did you do with the insect?

I imagine she also loved Dissecting frogs in eighth grade or am I wrong?

Did you do science after that?

Innocent thought is the purest and often correct, I don't know if it was the case but maybe they went home and did science. and that sparked that girl's interest in biology, and one day she will be a scientist.

It is a beautiful anecdote!

My favorite activity is definitely sciencing things with my kids lol

What did you gus end up doing with the dead bug? So much suspense lol I find it cute that even if there's not much to do with a dead bug, your daughter still wanted to be a scientist in the moment.

I think the best thing about kids and science is that they get amazed by all sorts of things and science does just that: it changes and creates and makes everything different, and to kids this is probably a mind-blowing concept lol

Hi all,
I am currently serving my notice period and actively looking for better opportunities.
I already have 2 years of experience in python and Deep learning. I have also done my Master's in Artificial Intelligence specialization and have strong knowledge in Machine learning, NLP, and Computer Vision.

I just graduated with a Bachelors degree in Accounting with 136 credits. I’m looking to obtain my CPA and am wondering if the MS programs are worth it if I’m only 14 credits shy of the 150 hours requirement. I’m interning with a Big 4 this summer and feel the pressure to stay another year for my masters. If I don’t do it, will it hurt my chances at getting a full time offer?

Is it wrong that I'm sort of pissed off by this? Should I say something?

Anyone who took out student loans for MBA and has been paying them off...I’m taking out a loan now and curious how you thought about repayment term between 5, 7, 10 or more years? For a 10 yr loan there’s monthly payments of $981, vs. $1293 for 7 yr. 5 years is $1709 which feels crazy high. But I’m debating between 7 and 10

Can anyone give me their honest opinion on working at Eli Lilly, the Indy site? I have a few coworkers that have worked there in the past but no one recently. I’m currently being recruited pretty seriously for a in-vivo technician position in the auto-immune team, but I already have a job lined up at Envigo as a small animal sx tech. Salaries would be comparable (Lilly would most likely be a little more with bonuses), but if the culture sucks, I’d hate to burn a bridge with Envigo.
