100k base sets your base for % based raises higher in the future. also a lot of companies have pay bands for each position to make sure a senior isn’t making more than a manager, for example
Also increases are usually based on percentage. Aka you would be getting larger raises in the future.
Huge tax difference
If you end up leaving, you may have to pay back some or all of the bonus (depending on the contract). Also, any year-end bonus % would create a higher cost for the organization of your base is higher.
