When sending a cold email to a recruiter, should you include a reason why you’re interested in the agency? Or keep it short and sweet with your book, resume and what you’re looking for?

If it’s genuine, yes include what makes you interested. If it’s really basic like “the ___ campaign you did was really rad” then no. Keep it short and give it some personality.

No chance without a reference/personal connection to the recruiter. If you don’t know anyone who works there or you don’t have some kind of stunt to get your portfolio noticed, don’t waste the time.

Hello Tech Folks!

I am looking to break into tech as an analyst. After a couple of completed data analytics courses, and an ongoing data science and AI one which I’ll be graduating from soon, I am ready to get back into the workforce. Hence, I’m starting to look at analyst jobs and could eventually use some help with referrals. 🙂

Would love to connect with you on LinkedIn!

My new job is remote role and looking to move to NJ to save more money. I don't go into Manhattan often and not too social either. But I do stay home a lot and enjoy spacier and nicer buildings. Is there anywhere in NJ that I should look for <1 hr commute to Manhattan and nice apartments? Thanks in advance.

What’s Workday like less restrictive? I’ve been working in Workday for over 2 years now and there are so many people involved in approving a task. The configuration is very extreme! Wouldn’t be a big deal if people would act on the inbox tasks in a timely manner. Is this normal for companies to do this?

How's the work at Dailey?

I just had a fun response to a senior level application for a very small company saying I had 48 hours to do a design test (sent 9pm on a Sunday - disregard for WLB), and they were excited to see it. It was literally redesigning their website, and I haven’t even been offered an interview yet nor discussed my salary specifications. The red flags are endless - I did some scoping and their VP of marketing graduated in 2018 and head of HR was a lawyer until they started in that role 2 months ago.
