Anyone here in IB restructuring willing to share tips and good resources to use to prep for an upcoming interview? I don’t have IB/finance experience but took a modelling course on wallstreetprep. Also, I am planning on studying the HL case study and read the interview guides on restructuringinterviews.com. Lastly, If you can share what the interview was like for you, that would be appreciated. TIA

It is personal preference but it always irks me when i receive a resume in an intro email. You can send it a few emails down the line (ie. before you schedule a call - “if helpful, please also see my resume attached. Look forward to catching up…”) but it comes across as rude and transactional in my opinion to lead w that
I understand this sentiment, but I actually disagree. It’s helpful to know up front whether they’re even remotely qualified. Otherwise you risk wasting everyone’s time
Also i realize they’re hitting me up for a job rather than my winning personality. so i’d rather not hear them try to suggest otherwise lol
Really depends how well you know the person and where they are coming from. Resume usually never hurts but sometimes it's not needed if it's a very personal connect. Case by case basis.
If they are going to make an actual referral and consider your for hiring they need your resume. It’s shouldn’t be a confidential document, usually your LinkedIn would have about the same info content
Exactly. I would submit a targeted resume based on possible openings that get uncovered during conversation
