I assume they didn’t have time to get ready enough to feel comfortable on camera. I don’t like going on camera without having somewhat styled hair & some make up on. Some people get on camera looking like they rolled out of bed (good for them) but that’s not my jam.

True, although I confess to more than one pre-coffee, unwashed face, unbrushed teeth and hair on-camera call. Probably not great for my career.
Staying more focused on the actual conversation because I’m not staring at my own face or trying to hide the fact that I’m actually working out of my toddlers bedroom. The pressure to be on video for all calls is frankly absurd IMO. Grateful my agency and clients leave this up to our discretion on when it actually adds value.

Having the camera on all day is psychologically draining and unnatural. I don’t blame people for wanting the camera off.
