When updating your linked in profile, if you were working toward another degree (MBA, phd, etc) would/should you include that info?

Were or are? If you are still working on it, yes.

Three classes left that I plan to complete

You could mention that you're an "MBA candidate", but not an actual MBA until you have that designation. Also, you wouldn't be able to call yourself a candidate unless you're currently enrolled in an MBA or PhD program.

^ agree, but also if you're looking for a new job, you may not want to include it since you may not come off as being fully dedicated to a new job...

Depends on whether the degree facilitates a job move or just supports the job you have - there is a strategy here around timing that you don't want to miss - you don't get full price for a home that has been on the MLS for 120 days...

Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!

Re: internship programs in media, what are pros/cons to holistic (planning, buying, strat, ad ops) programs, versus having an intern hone in on one of those specific territories?

I’m in a rather peculiar situation. I have been in the HR field going on 4 years, I have over 11 years of management experience, I got my PHR last year and I recently graduated with my MBA with a concentration in HR this month. I am ready for a more challenging role. However, there doesn’t seem to be much available at my current company. However, I am going on 5 months pregnant with the expectation of being out in October. I feel like once I mentioned my pregnancy I was in a holding pattern.

I'm at a career juncture and have decided on a career in anti-money laundering as my new path. I'm also highly interested in additional education to further my career and am eyeing graduate school. Which is best? A law degree or a master's in international relations? Those are where my interests lie. I keep reading that JDs are valued in compliance but am wondering if a different graduate program is better for my goals. I already plan to obtain the CAMS certification. Thank you!

Hi all,
Need an advice. I am confused between doing masters or learn tech stack and increase experience and salary.
*My primary goal is to earn more.*
If masters I have to do in US or UK, so GRE, GMAT.
If for learning and tech experience I can learn tech stacks.
But I am confused between this.
Could you please tell or suggest what would be a better choice? Is doing masters in US or UK is a better ROI or be in India and gain exp and earn more by switching?
Currently I am a Java developer.
TIA

Have worked in both banking and consulting, but still looking for a combination of things:
1. Something that’s less quantitative / producing and checking numbers constantly
2. Managerial and people-focused - not just an IC role
3. Ideally remote with some kind of international flavor

2 years post-MBA, 9 total YoE, incl. MBA

Any suggestions?

Hi I had someone recently tell me I should have my education and certifications above my experience on my resume. I found this weird as I thought since I had 5 years of work experience that would go first. They said since I graduated college in 2020 and was actively in a certificate program those should go above my current experience. Thoughts?

Serious question - is there a reverse FIRE strategy? I like the idea of saving and retiring early, but the one hiccup I see (and sorry if this is grim) is if you die earlier than expected. I’d be worried that I would minimize lifestyle and fun for retirement at 50 but I’d die at 49. How about a way to work 9 months out of the year and retire/travel/relax for 3 months? This way you guaranteed your dreams/etc. are fulfilled
