Only bc a job posting indicates a class year, it’s more of a preference, and it should not stop you from applying anyway.
Do remember that six month bar that some firms reputedly have from reapplying so be selective
Your peak lateral years are 3-5, but things start to open up at 2 years. I wouldn't apply to 2020/21 jobs as a 23, you won't be considered right now. But for a 22, I would try it. You'll see more things open up in general come October for hiring in the new year.
