I was emailed by a recruiter for a FAANG Sr Program Manager role and she asked me my expectations. I like a noob told her what I wanted 250k+ total comp and she said the best we can do is 160-170k total. This is less than my current base (176k M2 MBA) that is due for an adjustment. I really like the role but cannot take such a major pay cut. How do I proceed further?
How would you compare Accenture Digital to Deloitte Digital in terms of the work they both do, compensation, etc.?
Would you go into the public sector (like teaching) or work at a nonprofit, if you made from 80k and up to 150k in salary over the course of your life? Why?
Hello everyone. I’ve a burning question. So I have only spent 6 months at KPMG but I recently received on offer from another firm and they are offering me a pay that is $25,000 more than what I earn at KPMG and a sign on Bonus of $10,000. Any advise on how to approach this?
Can giving a retention bonus result in the opposite effect with those who didn’t get one wanting to leave?
I'm an ArtDir working in US with 3.5 yrs exp., US Advertising Masters degree, 2 years exp in India. I'm planning to move to Toronto this year. What's the salary range I can expect if I go client side?
Would you take the following offer: Base - ~$180K; Bonus - ~$30K; RSU - ~$15k; Total Comp - ~$225K; F500 firm, not tech, mid-west, individual contributor role with potential for senior roles in 2 years. Good WLB, but not the most interesting industry. Currently working at a T2 Strategy Consulting firm, 2.5 years out of a T10 MBA. $200K all in. 7 YoE. Happy with consulting so far and performing well, but would like better WLB. How much better are tech exit ops given SF cost of living?
So far this year, there have been 4 times I've gotten a "PWC NEW HIRE BONUS POINTS" bonus of 8,000 points to my Hilton Honors account. Has anyone else been getting this?
SO stressed from the apartment hunt. Went to see a couple of places that looked nothing like the photos. Was told by one place that: “We don’t like roommates.” Brokers asking for a $200 fee just to apply. So many 1 beds being sold as 2 beds. Current landlord ghosting me when I want to stay. If anyone knows of reasonable true 2 bedrooms in Murray Hill or Kips Bay please let me know...bonus points if theu are offering a deal rn 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I just received an offer, and want to make sure I’m not leaving any money on the table. What is the typical wiggle room companies have for negotiation? What would be a good counter salary increment (in terms of %) that won’t scare them off, but allows me to capture as much of that wiggle room they have? (No defined compensation matrix or anything at this company) thanks!
FAAS or Audit? Salary & Exit opp?
Three months into my first job, I think I didn't ask for a high enough salary. How/when do I course correct?

Going to tell Leadership this week that I want to be rolled off. Another project has requested me and that project is better aligned to my career. Any advice to have a smooth conversation?
Has anyone jumped from Big 4 Advisory to Tier 1 Consulting firms (e.g. MBB). Was the jump at the same, higher or lower level?
Trying to refer my brother for an IT position - he's wicked smart with computers.. both hardware and software. Already tried referring him via our referral program.. no dice. He's got 2+ yrs exp.
Anyone at Huron in provider/medical group practice willing to refer? I have a strong background in performance improvement and value-based care.
Currently interviewing with BRG in their Turnaround and Restructuring division and was wondering if anyone knew whether their compensation structure is similar to A&M's, as in the bonus being tied as a % to your billable / utilization rate? And if so, are there restrictions of any kind, like it starts applying after you hit a title, etc?
What is the interview process like for the the VCA client consulting analyst position? What kind of questions are asked?
When you're the only girl on the team and the rest of the team votes Hooters for Friday lunch and your waitress ends up being 7 months pregnant ... Lololol 😂😂 #jokesonyouguys
Anyone ever experience being on a project where your supervisor or lead just tells you they don’t like your work and to just fix it without providing any reasoning or how to fix it? How did you go about it? I’m so miserable and I always feel like I’m not doing good enough but I literally have no clue how to improve and I have no guidance. I have ADHD and anxiety already and this is just heightening it all and I’m paranoid I’ll get fired at any moment…
Hey Sales 🐠, kindly requesting your advice. I have 4 YOE in customer success and 2 YOE as a presales solutions consultant, all in the health tech space. I’d like to grow into a sales role (e.g. Account Executive), but am not sure what a good next step should be. I don’t have any full cycle sales experience or a history of a meeting quotas, but I am comfortable in C-suite interactions. Any suggestions on what type of sales roles to consider next? Thanks!
Prior to the pandemic, I was transferring to our London office (now paused). I’ve always wanted to live a few years abroad, perhaps through global expansion at my current firm or applying for other jobs globally, even B-school. I know it sounds a bit idealistic and perhaps even unrealistic given the current situation - but for the nomads/expats, is it possible to work abroad remotely at this time? Perhaps moving from country to country? I work in tech rn.
What's the deal w The Gwen? Was is a Westin before the renovation? The removes awaiting renovation are pretty plain
Trying to chart my next move and not sure what direction to go. All I know is I’m tired of being always “on” in a client-facing environment. Any podcasts, books, etc I can read for insight into more internal roles like biz ops, corporate dev/strategy, other?? 4 YOE total all in consulting. Currently a SC. Clients/work have been commercial healthcare implementation & public health strategy, risk, process imp etc.
Anybody here apply for a 2nd PPP draw this past week and gotten it? Which lender did you use? Thoughts on womply or SmartBiz (<<<Kabbage is sending folks there). 5/31 is the last day, but Chase...
Why are Glassdoor reviews for MBB so high? There's a sizeable amount of consultants on this app that dislike their jobs.
I’m currently a senior accountant and I mainly focus on accruals and expense analysis. Prior to this role I was in State & Local Tax. I wasn’t sure if tax is where I wanted to be at the time especially because I heard you can get pigeonholed. I actually kind of miss the work that I used to but also found tax can be very mentally challenging. I’m struggling with trying to decide if I should go back to tax or maybe use my current experience to go into FP&A or a Finance related role. Advise please!
Can you be fired if on medical marijuana if used for medical reasons with prescription if company policy does not specify whether it's not allowed in recreational use only or simply just not allowed?
I’m trying to hop between big 4 consulting roles. Presently, I’m a life science PhD and MBA hire to EY with 3+ YOE as a Senior consultant/associate. Do I have any shot at manager roles assuming I focus on life science roles? I’m concerned my lack of manager title kills any chance I have of joining another firm as a manager.
