I am a first-year attorney in a 3 person firm (I’m the third). My bosses put me on the PD appointment list to ensure I have work but I absolutely dread court appearances and litigation. I wanted to be a transactional Atty. Over the last 2 weeks I’ve been living in a constant state of panic and (embarrassingly) cry in the bathroom at least once a day due to stress. I’m getting a therapist but am seriously considering leaving the firm with no backup. What do I do?

Got an offer for Atlassian Canada - senior product manager. Initial offer is 160k base +15% annual bonus (24k) + 20k sign on bonus. RSU is 220k USD payable over next 4 years. There's no RRSP match (401k match equivalent). Considering its Atlassian, and current market rate, I think base is low. I would like it to be bumped upto to 180k. The recruiter earlier said the top of the pay range is 165k, which I feel is not really top but maybe median? Help me negotiate please; historically suck at it.
Hello recruiters, I have. been in recruitment for about 5 months and looking at becoming a recruitment coordinator eventually. What is the salary banding for a tech company?

Having lost my father in a sudden manner recently, I am trying to cope and process the grief. As I am an only child, it is expected by friends & extended family (as per my culture) that my mother move in with me (and my newly wedded husband) overseas. However, my mother and I have a difficult dynamic (owing to Asian traits such as zero privacy, domineering, push to hustle). I am at a loss on how to move forward and am scared that my career and marriage may fall apart. Thoughts?

I’ve been with my client on a fucked up project for a year and 4 months. The client likes me but I’m miserable. I’ve been requesting a project transition plan since December. It’s now May and I have no roll off date in sight. I am interested to know what others have done to transition off of long term projects. I don’t want to leave my firm but I don’t know what options I have at this point. Your advise is appreciated.
Is pure strategy consulting dying? Is the future integrated strategy+implementation/analytics/etc teams or is pure strategy just changing its approach?
