When you applied for an opportunity and passed the screen, then, you see the hiring manager has viewed your profile on LinkedIn- is it rude or forward to send him/her a connection request?

Not rude but probably premature

Agreed. I’d hold off until the position is resolved, regardless of whether you accept the job.

I’d wait until an offer was presented at the earliest. I waited until my background check cleared to accept requests I had received and send ones. G’luck!

Wait a bit. Not yet.

Thanks all! My experience has been that the hiring manager doesn’t view the profile in all info mode. I usually see a someone from this co. Viewed your profile or a private viewing mode notice. So, this caught me off a bit…

That just depends on their settings. I’m not paying for premium to view in private mode

After 45 minutes she said they will let me know...

Just completed my first week at Deloitte and finished setting up my DPN profile , completd my mandatory trainings etc. I've left my resource manager an IM , he's been MIA. How long before someone reaches out to me for assignment to a project. I don't have project assigned to me and no coach yet . Is this normal ? What's the typical time frame after hiring to get assigned to project. It feels extremely weird not to have a client assigned or not be actively pursuing one.

Has anyone dealt with a FIRPTA withholding on a sale? It looks like the seller of a condo I’m interested now is an international student so it would apply. I am shocked at how little we are talking about the endgame of the president’s election fraud lie.

If you believed your hated candidate literally stole the election, what would you do? Say “oh well, we’ll get them in the midterms?” Or would you do something more extreme?

Can anyone lay out a plausible path forward that doesn’t pass through bloodshed?

I have to fly cross country in a few weeks. First time flying for this job (been here a year). I’m allowed to fly business if I want (im the GC). Company isn’t killing it financially right now. Price difference is about $2,500 and I’ve done coach plenty of times on this route at my old job (law firm). Would anyone say no to business class?

Well-traveled people: what seem like the best major market cities to live in with access to great in-house jobs (FAANG, adjacent companies, etc.). Some markets seem like really fun places to live but seem insanely expensive (San Fran, DC). Others seem like great comp to cost of living ratios but you seem like you’d basically be in a boring suburb (Raleigh, etc.) or have major drawbacks (arctic weather in Chicago, etc.). Maybe I’m totally off base though. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts.
