For a 14hr delay on delta (international) I got 12k miles. Started at 10k or a $100 gift certificate (hah). So that's what I got. Would be interested to know as well if I should have kept at it to get more - but I was tired...

Was over in UK with family (5 adults). Each flight was $1,300. Supposed to fly at 7:30am, got off ground at around 1:00pm. Delta gave us £10 meal voucher each & told us to claim compensation. Emailed Delta and we each got back $665. Sucked for me because I paid for all flights but everybody kept their refund. Thanks Dad lol

I'm American. 6 hour delay in the end flying on a 757. Finally going to see my boo

They sent an email yestereve with an apology and 6,000 miles to be credited to my Advantage account.

Not in the US.

If it's a mechanical issue I think you can get something, cause it's their fault. If it were weather or airport related then you'd be screwed.

Only if it's a Europe flight. For mechanical fault it depends on the severity, sometimes they give frequent flyer points but you have to fight for them. Also depends on the airline....Delta are good about it but you'll get nothing from American.

US you can get stuff. It's federal law. Just google it, there are guidelines in terms of how long of a delay. Just google it

Depending on the airline they will compensate for mechanical issues and if you miss a connection due to their late arrival.

It's tricky to get comp missing a connection on another airline but it can be done

Oh they could do better than that. But if you're happy with it then something is better than nothing

I get interrupted a lot at work now that we are virtual. I don't feel like this happens to everyone else in my team as much, meaning folks tend to let them talk longer. So I've reduced my contribution and talk less. But then others make the same point I'm thinking and would normally have said. So now I just look like a silent non-contributor or someone who gets interrupted a lot. Office/team culture is generally good, respectful and peaceful. How do I change this? What can I do differently?
