If you signed an offer letter would you rescind? I need to either sign or decline and I don't know what the right decision is. New offer is for a much better opportunity but my current employer is dicking me around. So I am not sure if in a few weeks my current employer might get their shit together.

I was offered a job for $68k a year that I countered with $85k. They then got back to me with $72k. The company is far, so I have to consider about the commute and potential moving closer for the sake of logistics.

What is a decent pay for a project manager at a commercial construction company. Basically I am trying to find out if I am under paid or not. So I will give some details. I work in central Pennsylvania. I am 24 years old. I have a physics and mathematics degree with a 3.98GPA. I have been a project manager for about 10 months now. Prior to this I managed a painting company. I grew up in construction and had construction and architectural classes in high school, hence how I got into this field.

We just started house hunting in the San Francisco/ Bay area and realised we are short by at least $30K for the down payment for the price range we are looking at.

We don’t have a very lavish lifestyle but not very conservative either. Need to make some changes over next few months to be able to save that money.

Post taxes/rent, we make about $15K per month. What are some suggestions to make short term/ long term lifestyle changes that could allow us to save significantly?

I got a offer from McKinsey and the recruiter said there is a policy for a 100k loan for home loan downpayment, she did not provide much details and said I can look up the policy on joining.
