Ahh, such a common error though! Can you fix it by the next version so the client won't notice?!

They haven't caught it :) Yet.

Recently bought a house that takes 50% of my current income. Leverage baby.

Got an offer from 2 startups, both have solid players in the teams. Base is same for both and same to my current pay. Equity component hasn't been finalized in both.

Company 1
- Established product & revenue generating
- Already completed seed round (60m)
- I would be employee #30

Company 2
- No established product
- Completed pre-seed (2.1m)
- I would be employee #10

Company 2 is higher risk higher reward. Advice?

What’s the rationale for a team not to roll you off ? When the SM on the account constantly provides you feedbacks and corrective steps ?

Recommendations for a portable pump? I currently use the spectra and need to hand express and massage a lot to fully empty/get desired output and pumping bras haven’t been a friend. I currently have a freestyle flex as my secondary but it kept giving me clogs because I wasn’t able to empty fully! Heard that the willow and Elvis are not too good on that front either…So not sure what pump to choose as I move into final weeks of mat leave… any recommendations will be much appreciated!

Me: (thinking) 🙄

Does Tech consulting or MC make more at KPMG?

In the middle of an interview process with a company. Was interviewing for a senior analyst role, but they changed the title in my final round interview subject line to manager. Should I ask (contd.)

Can anyone provide insight on moving from regional to top 10? This would be in Toronto, FYI. I have almost 2 years experience, incl 2 tax seasons and private audit. Looking to move to strictly audit.

How do you work on your portfolio when you can’t get any good work produced? How long into your career is it acceptable to still have spec work? Are there still any significant competitions to join?

any firms/offices still hiring UG consultants for this fall?

I like my firm and don’t want to leave however I just received an offer that is 30% over my current compensation. Any chance my firm matches my new comp? This would mean my pay would be much higher than my new manager peers. Mid size/HCOL.

I have 2 kids under 2 and a half and traveling every week. I miss them so much, I don't know how long can I keep this up. How do you guys cope?

Why do people recommend maxing out their 401K? I really don’t understand the perks of having tax free money when I’m 60. Why not just use that money to invest or buy things that’ll make you happy now vs 40 years from now?
