Is the CFE pretty easy?

Got offered a junior accounting role for a F500 at $50/hr plus overtime. I don’t want the demotion, but that’s some damn good money.

For those who moved from a client serving role to an internal role in public accounting while at a fairly high level (experienced manager or senior manager), did you take a pay cut or does your pay stay flat when you transition with minimal increases in subsequent years? Also what role are you in now? I really like EY and the company. I’d like to look at moving to an internal role but I’m worried I’ve priced myself out (currently at around 140k comp in LCOL).

As a new associate finishing up what will likely be my largest/only provision client going forward, is it appropriate/professional to ask the client employee that I worked with the most for feedback?

FAANG (or MANGA) companies seem to be the holy grail for lots of people exiting BIG4 or even banking/consulting types looking for finance analyst type roles in industry.

Anecdotally, the pay & culture seems good at those companies, but are there significant cons to "finance analyst" type roles in those orgs which would deter you from working from them? (I.e work hours, progression etc?)

How does one figure out if they should be audit or tax or quit PA? I work about 50/50 between audit and tax and cannot decide. I’m currently hating tax and see it not setting me up well for leaving PA
