Advice on how to break into an M&A related role, coming from B4 and more back office work experience? TIA!
I currently work in IT Audit at Deloitte and have a degree in Management Information Systems. I'm looking to transition into a cyber security role either with or outside of the firm. Anyone have experience doing this and have any tips or ideas? Or have any tips on some certifications I could get that would make me more desirable?
Has anyone tried taking a year or so off to regain sanity and then returned to law? If so would you recommend, and was it difficult to find a job after?

Rent is month to month - thinking about cutting lease and staying at my parents’ house (it’s completely vacant) on the opposite coast. Think remote work will last long enough for this to make sense?
Looking to make the jump from being a campaign staffer (comms) to a more traditional comms/pr role, or really any role that can use social media, digital, and writing experience. Based out of ATX or remote! I’d appreciate any leads/openings or someone willing to take a look at my resume and offer feedback.
Any tips for a smooth transition out of law firm and into in house? Purely from a practical POV. I remember what lateraling was like and there are things I wish I’d done then (like taken copies of certain publicly-filed documents I drafted, immediately updated my resume, etc). If you did the transition again, is there anything that you wish you’d remembered to save, write down, update, take with you, etc?
Anyone left MBB/Big4 for a Startup. How are you finding it? Their chaos & unstructured ways are just making me so anxious and unhappy about my decision. How long did it take for you to adapt/leave?
Any advice on how to get a foot in the door at media companies (HBO, Netflix, etc)? The job descriptions are so different it’s hard to know which will allow my skills to be the most transferable.
