Recently had to Rollover my previous employers Roth 401k into separate IRAs (post tax and pretax employer match) with Fidelity which opened up my investment options. A bit overwhelming, but wondering how most of you approach self managed investment vehicles? Any difference between taxable brokerage and tax-advantaged accounts?

Curious about different approaches and strategies I may not be thinking about.

I had crazy burnout inducing weeks and I am now on a slower pace finally for the second week this year (~20 billable hours wk). Not sure how well I performed in those weeks prior but deals closed and nothing went wrong at the end. Now I think about what’s lacking in my life (partner, joy, expertise in my field haha) and I just don’t want to work or care to work anymore. Anybody in a similar boat? How did you get out of this?

I have a TS Clearance (no poly) filed by my current employer & waiting on it to come through before I job hop. I plan to target non-tech roles at Azure, GCP and AWS. Even if I have no experience in cleared projects, can I use the TS clearance on my resume for more salary?

Hi! I accepted an offer about two months ago and have been working full time since. (I know my title says intern, but I'm not anymore, it won't let me change it lol)
Now someone I know, with less experience, just got hired for the same position as me with the same salary AND a sign on bonus.

Should I renegotiate my salary/ask for a delayed sign on bonus, or is it too late? Any tips on what to do, or should I just deal with it?

I spoke with a recruiter recently about a position in her company and before we even began talking about the job, she asked if I needed an sponsorship, I told her no, I dont need one. But she continued to press on the subject until I had to tell her I was a US citizen. I dont know why, but the whole conversation made me extremely uncomfortable. So my question is, can recruiters ask you about your visa/immigration status even when I told her I didnt need a sponsorship??

When is an appropriate time to follow up after your third and final interview? I wasn’t given a timeframe of when they’d get back to me. Don’t want to seem too eager but want to make sure I follow up

Why do we accept it as normal for recruiters using an army of compensation directors and market research to negotiate against junior creatives with 10 year old laptops?

Do recruiters think this is the best method? I’m lucky to be at a point in my career where i have some choice in which recruiters/agencies i want to work with and I can tell you 100% of the time i go with whoever offers clarity. I simply don’t bother with the recruiters who are vague / refuse to be transparent about budgets.

When you say let's keep in touch do you actually intend to? Or is that something you just say to everyone?

Why would a company be hiring for a very high level and not have a job description? I’m kind of worried about this...
