Why not call your Mgr/SM and just ask? Better peace of mind that any response from FB.
But I wannnaaaaaa
Wtf?? What kind of creepy freak of an SM is that?! That's not normal OP, gtfo lol. Find a reasonable Senior and get open communication going with them, fk that SM
Is this a thing...? Is your team tiny, or does no one communicate?
Uh...just wait until someone is online? Still blows my mind. I'm on a 5-7 FTE project, and we know if someone is onsite, local office, or traveling every day. Seems like bad PM to just let you show up alone.
Can you text a peer? Do the non-probing, probing question: e.g., "Hey Sean, not sure if you're in a meeting, want to grab lunch at Dippin' Dots?"
I would call too
They're all offline so I guess I could call his cell? Just feels awk bc I'm the youngest and most junior employee and I feel like a little shit whining about not getting to go home a few hours early
Are they gonna come in later?
Not that I know of
I'd bail just before lunch and be online after lunch
Tiny team: 6 of our people and like 5 client people I regularly see
Especially when I have literally actually zero work to do for this project today
So I'm just sitting here doing trainings that I could very well do at home 🙄
You feel awk calling your managers cell simply bc you're a junior resource? 🤔 I'd say get used to communicating comfortably with SM's, Partners and the like otherwise you're gonna struggle in this type of environment. Besides asking questions or efficient communication in general is never a bad thing.
That's what I thought but a precious SM sat me down once and told me I was not allowed to speak unless spoken to and that I always had to be the first one in and last one out since I was the most junior person there...I've been afraid of higher level people ever since and I really want a good review from this project so I might just deal with being alone today and leave at like 3
