I got to the final round of interviews for a role I'm excited for, even interviewing with my "would-be" client. The hiring manager told me they were hoping to make a decision by end of last week. Didn't hear anything. I followed up with the headhunter on Monday to see if he had any updates- he replied super enthusiastically that "we are so close. Please stick with me! Working with the team to see what can be done today". Which sounded really 👍🏼 That was Mon & I haven't heard anything. Thoughts? 👇🏻
Larry david had it right in Curb. He said "The customer is usually a moron and an asshole". Just replace 'customer' with 'client' and you're one step closer to success in consulting! _R

Not your ‘dear’ .. white old dude said .. dear with a female client on the call. I stated ... not your dear ... wasn’t fully intending to say it out loud.
Who is this absolute legend who just pulled the ultimate “I have a client meeting” move 🤣 Must be an equity partner somewhere
Best project management tool to suit full service agency life? Need something that can manage full process from concept, strat, design, copy, dev, media etc.
Are there any good jobs out there that focus on researching equities, that somebody with an accounting background could slide into? What do those type of companies/jobs look like? If not, what skills should I be adding to make myself more qualified? Research gets my energy up more than client services - I am just sick of client service work. I would rather be doing research for the client if I’m going to stay in this line of work.
Is it possible to go client side and NOT be hated by the client's ad agency folks? Im referring to how we all secretly shit talk the clients but act nice on conference calls
Presenting a script today featuring a gay couple.
Can't wait for the client to tell me that gay people don't buy blenders or something. The joys of working in a developing country 🙄
Going on the bench this week and I’ve been interviewing with other firms. I am worried I will be forced to go into another project and will leave the firm immediately after. Do I avoid being staffed..
Resigning soon and I've been working with the same client since they hired our company - pretty good relationship with them.
Should I send a personal farewell to the client or just let the company communicate the changes?
Is it burning a bridge to poach a client from your old firm a month after leaving. I was the manager at EY on this account and they called me asking to come with me to RSM at the end of this audit. Should I consult a non compete attorney? Left EY on good terms originally.

I don't get people who wear suits to fly. Like sure, if you're going to the client/a pitch and it's required, sure. Barring that I dress as casual as possible to avoid being identified as interesting.
When you start a new project 2 time zones away and forget to check the weather... to find out it will be snowing and you did NOT bring a coat. Safe to say I'll never forget to check again.

- Provided substantial raises

Those of you who like/love your job— where do you work/in what industry (big/mid/small firm, in-house, tech, entertainment, etc.) what do you do (legal or no) & how many jobs did it take for you to land on the “perfect” role? I recently lateraled from one big firm to another and don’t like it as much as I thought I would. Somewhat having an existential crisis & worried that I’ll never find a job I actually enjoy.
