Yes, all the time. I know for me, I trap myself with goals because it puts my happiness to some future point in time. By the time I get there, I’m already looking for what’s next, rather than being able to appreciate the present. I know the key is to appreciate what’s here and now, and give it full attention. But I’m still struggling to master that mindset. It’s so much easier to put off happiness to some future point in time.

I moved out to the suburbs about 7 months ago. Between that and the pandemic I have lost touch with friends. I reach out as get “yea let’s hang” but when it comes to making definite plans, crickets. It’s been hard because work is so busy and I have my partners children around too. Struggling to reconnect now that ppl are hanging out again and I don’t get invited. Feeling super isolated and lonely.

Does it mean anything if your HR consultant randomly adds you on LinkedIn? I’ve never even met her in person or talked to her over the phone. I’m probably overthinking but just curious. Thanks!

After going full WBS I’ve returned to you all, where I’ve actually made money following your good ideas

Keep em coming I appreciate you all

So to give some background, I currently have about 6-7 YOE in the BA/PM space, and my current position is 100k, with 10k annual bonus. The position I hold is as a Senior Business Analyst at the company I'm currently at.

I received an offer for a Salesforce Functional Business Analyst at Accenture for 128k annually with a 15k signing bonus. I'm hesitant due to the lower title, as I want to move back into PM work, and feel as if I'm taking a step down. Also, concerned with the WLB at Accenture.

Additional Posts in Depression/Anxiety Talk

My first therapy appointment tomorrow! I’ve never dealt with depression before having my second kid and my PPD was/is rough! Filling out the intake form I basically had to list out all the things I’ve dealt with - rape, mom issues, death in family during pandemic, kid hit by car, ppd, and a slew of over things… looking forward to working through these things over time, whatever that might look like.

Took LOA last year, multiple months. Recovered from burnout driven by long hours during covid. But feel like I'm now experiencing burnout in a different form. Don't feel drained but I'm just unmotivated to do anything in life and work. I don't want to eat, exercise, go places, or work. I don't want another break from work, I want to keep doing things (eg not so drained I want to take months off) but this seems like burnout and I don't know what to do.

Any tips for not getting overwhelmed with the sheer amount of work on multiple engagements and dealing with multiple people (specialists, staff, execs, mgmt)? I feel so overwhelmed currently. I think I have ED. Not sure how to go about it.

I’m having trouble staying on top of things that I know are important. I just don’t care most of them time and the. Maybe once a month I get all concerned and make a list then I only do a couple things on it until going into the funk again.

I really feel like I’ve been dealt a really bad hand in my life. It feels like no one gives me a chance. Whether it’s a job I know I’m qualified for, or someone I’m interested in. Even things that appear to be good at first end up sucking. I know I should be grateful for what I have and that so many others are less fortunate. But I still can’t help but think that for a person in my position, given the opportunities that I was given, I am just a complete failure and nowhere near what I could be.
